He's running in the opposite direction than most competitors – south about 60 miles and through the lock to Jones Bluff Reservoir. He caught about 10 keepers, including a 4 1/2 pounder that bit late in the day.

"One thing I've been doing this year is selecting a Bible verse for each tournament week and putting it on the side of my boat wrap. This week's verse is Colossians 3:17, which says, 'And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the father through him.'
